Additional Information

I first moved to Waverley in 1988 and have lived in Guildford before moving to Cranleigh in 2002. My husband and I have lived in the Cranleigh East Ward since that time; we have three grown up children.

As a Liberal Democrat, I believe in putting people first. Listening to the needs of our community here, where I live, is my priority. I have sourced funding for the Cranleigh Food Bank, taken part in The Cost-of-Living Task Group and collaborated with officers on Waverley to improve the environment with the positioning of recycling and litter bins and on improving leisure and community facilities locally.

I have been a Councillor on Ewhurst Parish Council for eight years and on Cranleigh Parish Council for four years, working on a variety of committees.

I have worked with the Police on the local Neighbourhood Watch for Cranleigh and took a team of parish residents to Farnham to be trained for Speedwatch duties in Ewhurst. I subsequently took part in team Speedwatch for between three and four years on the Cranleigh Road. Concerned as a Council Member on the Cranleigh and Southeast Agricultural Society, I collaborated with Police too, to encourage Farm Watch both in Surrey and over the West Sussex border.

I am a founder member of The Surrey Hills Society, have been a trustee on several local charities and have represented Cranleigh Parish Council on the Citizen Advice Bureau. I am proud to be a long-term member of The Green Liberal Democrats and work on the Climate Change Emergency Board to help develop green policies throughout the Council.
