Kevin Deanus and his wife Dawn have lived in Alfold since 1993; they have two daughters.
Kevin spent 30 years as a Surrey Police Officer where he returned as a Detective Chief Superintendent. His favourite posting was as the Divisional Commander for West Surrey with responsibility for policing Waverley and Guildford Police areas.
On his retirement Kevin worked providing drug and alcohol treatment services for those with substance misuse issues.
Kevin takes a keen interest in local issues. For the last 6 years he has been the Chairman of the Alford Sports and Social Club. As well as providing excellent sports and leisure facilities, the club holds an annual village sports day and bonfire night.
Kevin was a local Alfold Parish Councillor for 4 years and in 2015 was elected to represent Alfold, Cranleigh Rural and Ellens Green as a Borough Councillor.
