Funding Request - Replacement of timber and glazed porches at College Gardens, Farnham pdf icon PDF 138 KB

The purpose of this report is to seek approval from the Joseph Ewart Bequest Trust to request additional funding to cover the replacement of five external timber and glazed porches and associated roofing line works at the wider properties College Gardens, Farnham.

 

Recommendation

 

It is recommended that the Executive acting as Trustee of the Joseph Ewart Bequest:

·         Give approval to progressing and completing the works at College Gardens, Farnham at a total budget of £60,000 funded from the trusts unrestricted funds.

Minutes:

Councillor Paul Rivers, Co-Portfolio Holder for Housing (Operations) presented the report which set out a proposal request additional funding to cover the replacement of five external timber and glazed porches and associated roofing line works at the wider properties College Gardens, Farnham.

 

It was noted that, while the Trust held a balance of £1.25m, approximately £800,000 of this had previously been allocated for the acquisition of a site to build five affordable homes at Greenfield Road, Farnham.  The project had been delayed due to the requirement for it to be considered by the Charity Commission, however officers were now progressing with the project.

 

RESOLVED

 

That the Executive acting as Trustee of the Joseph Ewart Bequest gives approval to progressing and completing the works at College Gardens, Farnham at a total budget of £60,000 funded from the trusts unrestricted funds.
