The Licensing and Regulatory Committee recommend to Council that the Statement of Licensing Policy 2023-2028 be approved.

52.1    Councillor Murray moved the recommendation, seconded by Councillor Ward. There being no speakers, the Mayor moved to the vote and it was RESOLVED that:

                              

1.    the Statement of Licensing Policy 2023-2028 be approved.

The purpose of this report is to enable the Committee to consider comments, following public consultation, on the five-year review of the Statement of Licensing Policy 2023-2028 for Waverley, against which applications for licences under the 2003 Licensing Act (the Act) are considered.

 

The Committee is asked to consider the comments and proposed changes on the Statement of Licensing Policy and make its recommendations for amending the Policy to the Council

Paul Hughes outlined the report set out. The Policy had been agreed by the Licensing and Regulatory Committee in February 2023, however, there had been some changes to Executive Head titles since its publication therefore the Committee were being asked to agree the changes and approve the policy.

 

Members discussed whether the cumulative impact of zone area is relevant.

 

Officers were informed that LPP2 had now been adopted and members asked for page 43 18.5 and 18.6 be amended.

 

The Licensing and Regulatory Committee AGREED the changes to the Statement of Licensing Policy.
