Any Relevant Updates to Government Guidance or Legislation Since the Last Meeting

Officers to update the Committee on any changes to the planning environment of which they should be aware when making decisions.

Minutes:

The Development Manager drew the Committee’s attention to the Update Report which referred to two appeal decisions received in the previous week which had been dismissed based on the lack of clarity about the impact on the Wealden Heaths Special Protection Area. The Committee was advised that there was no barrier to determining the applications on the agenda based on the impact on the Wealden Heaths Special Protection Area.

Proposal

 

Change of use from agricultural land to a Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG) together with provision of new car park.

 

Recommendations

 

RECOMMENDATION A:

That, subject to completion of a section 106 agreement within 6 months of the date of the committee decision to secure access and footpath links into Farnham Park SANG, and to secure the long term management of the SANG, and subject to conditions 1 – 6 and informatives 1 – 5, that permission be GRANTED.

 

RECOMMENDATION B:

In the event that the requirements of recommendation A are not met, that permission is REFUSED.

Recommendation

 

RECOMMENDATION A:

That, subject to completion of a S106 agreement within 3 months of the date of the committee decision, to secure financial contributions to the Thames Basin Heaths SPA and subject to conditions 1 – 13 and Informative 1, permission be GRANTED.

 

RECOMMENDATION B:

In the event that the requirements of recommendation A are not met, that permission is REFUSED.
