ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Minutes:

The previous Chairman, Councillor Cole, had stood down.  Councillor Cole proposed Councillor Rivers and was seconded by Councillor Else.  This was agreed unanimously.

APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND SUBSTITUTIONS

To receive any apologies for absence and substitutions.

 

Where a Member of the Committee is unable to attend a substitute Member may attend, speak and vote in their place at that meeting.

 

Members are advised that in order for a substitute to be arranged a Member must give four (4) clear working days’ notice of their apologies.

 

For this meeting the latest date apologies can be given for a substitute to be arranged is Wednesday 24 March 2021.

MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

To agree the minutes of the meeting held on 24 February 2021, which are published on the Council’s website.

Minutes:

The minutes of the last meeting on 24 February 2021 were agreed to be an accurate record and would be signed by the Chairman when the Covid – 19 pandemic had abated.

DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTS

To receive from Members declarations of interests in relation to any items included on the Agenda for this meeting in accordance with the Waverley Code of Local Government Conduct.

Minutes:

Councillor Heagin declared a non-pecuniary interest in relation to item A2 because the applicant was a near neighbour although she did not know them personally.  She declared she would withdraw from the meeting for the duration of the item when this application was heard.

 

Councillor Wilson also declared a non-pecuniary interest in relation to A2 because he knew the applicant.  He declared he did not feel the need to withdraw.

 

The Development Manager also declared an interest in item B3 because her husband was the planning agent.  She declared she would withdraw from the meeting before this item was heard.
