Where a Member of the Committee is unable to attend a substitute Member may attend, speak and vote in their place at that meeting.

 

Members are advised that in order for a substitute to be arranged a Member must give four (4) clear working days notice of their apologies.

Background papers (as defined by Section 100D(5) of the Local Government Act relating to reports are listed under the “Representations” heading for each planning application presented, or may be individually identified under a heading “Background Papers”.

 

The implications for crime, disorder and community safety have been appraised in the following applications but it is not considered that any consideration of that type arises unless it is specifically referred to in a particular report.

Purpose

 

To consider the objection to making of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) 20/2020 and to determine whether the order should be confirmed with or without modification.

 

Recommendation

 

It is recommended that the Tree Preservation Order 20/2020 be confirmed without modification.

Decision:

To APPROVE TPO 20/2020 without modifications.

Proposal

 

Erection of extensions and alterations to existing dwelling to form 2 dwellings and associated works following demolition of existing garage and conservatory (as amended by plans received 03.03.21 and further amended 22.04.21).

 

Recommendation

 

That permission be GRANTED, subject to conditions 1-8 and informatives 1-6.

 

Decision:

Application DEFFERED to allow the officer to supply more information to answer questions from the committee regarding the 45-degree angle guideline in relation to the proposed extension and more information regarding the volume of complaints about parking.

Proposal

 

Erection of 4 dwellings with associated car ports, cycle stores and creation of new vehicular access following demolition of existing outbuildings, erection of extension to existing dwelling.

 

Recommendation

 

That permission be GRANTED, subject to conditions 1-22 and informatives 1-14.

1.    It would represent overdevelopment of the site

 

2.    The layout was considered to be poor

 

3.    Bins for the four proposed dwellings would have to be taken a considerable distance to where they would be collected by a refuse vehicle.

10.1

B1 - WA/2021/0122 - Ockford Ridge Site C, Godalming pdf icon PDF 2 MB

Proposal

 

Application under Regulation 3 for approval of reserved matters (landscaping and appearance) following the outline approval of WA/2018/1853 for the erection of 30 affordable dwellings and associated works following demolition of 18 existing dwellings. Discharge of conditions 8 (construction traffic management plan), 13 (dust management plan), 15 (landscaping scheme), 16 (sensitive lighting management plan), 19 (surface water drainage scheme) and variation of Condition 11 (electric vehicle charging points).

 

Recommendation

 

That permission be GRANTED, subject to conditions 1-11 and informatives 1-8.

Decision:

Permission GRANTED, subject to conditions 1-11 and informatives 1-8.

To consider the following recommendation on the motion of the Chairman:

           

Recommendation

           

That, pursuant to Procedure Rule 20 and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified at the meeting in the revised Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972.
