Apologies for Absence

To receive any apologies for absence.

Minutes:

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs John Gray, Jeanette Stennett and Stewart Stennett.

62.

Declarations of Interests

To receive from Members declarations of interests in relation to any items included on the Agenda for this meeting in accordance with the Waverley Code of Local Government Conduct.

Minutes:

Cllrs Jeanette and Stewart Stennett declared a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in the item on the agenda and therefore were not in attendance at the meeting.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider the following recommendation on the motion of the Chairman:

           

Recommendation

           

That, pursuant to Procedure Rule 20 and in accordance with Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item on the grounds that it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted or the nature of the proceedings, that if members of the public were present during the item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information (as defined by Section 100I of the Act) of the description specified in the revised Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972, namely:

 

2.         Information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual

 

3.         Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information)

 

7.         Information relating to any action taken or to be taken in connection with the prevention, investigation or prosecution of crime.

Enforcement Matter

To consider the EXEMPT report, attached.

Minutes:

The Committee considered the Exempt report evaluating the options for the Council in relation to the non-compliance with Enforcement Notices. The report highlighted key changes since the matter had last been considered by the Committee.

 

Officers provided the Committee with an update regarding material changes to the National Planning Policy Framework and the Council’s Development Plan and the implications in respect of this particular matter. Additionally, further information relating to the personal circumstances of the residents of the site was provided.

 

The Committee considered the equalities impacts, financial implications, and legal implications of the various options open the to Council, taking into account the latest information presented to the Committee.

 

In light of the information relating to the personal circumstances of the residents of the site, the Committee, having regard to the planning balance, agreed with the recommendation as set out in the Update Sheet and

 

RESOLVED that the recommendations set out in the (EXEMPT) annexe to these minutes be AGREED.
